| PPPP's PURPOSE |
| I made it because I and my family wanted to bring down the costs of our Internet connection. My father used one and I used one and this became pretty costsome. I looked at existing solutions (among them diald, masqserv, etc.) and found none that saticfied my needs. I found a package called WebPPP yesterday and said to my self - "Why didn't I think of this before?!". WebPPP was too much focused, imho, on RedHat's ppp-solution (ipfup ppp0 etc) and as I don't use that I didn't like it =). Also I wanted to make something practical with PHP3 to learn more about PHP and so I made this. The first version was made in C and worked just fine. PHP is cooler though. It also saves me some work compiling and compiling. |
